About Stanserhorn

At 1900-meter above sea level, Stanserhorn is an ideal spot to appreciate and experience the pristine beauty of Switzerland. Relax at the sunny rooftop to gaze distant mountains, as far as Mount Titlis and Alsace, or gleam at ten turquoise-blue lakes, and on a clear day, even peak at the neighbouring country’s nature – the Black Forest in Germany.

Although, the most memorable moments of the trip are etched in the CabriO – the world’s first open double-decker cable car. A one-of-its-kind cable car is a combination of a mighty, luxurious bus with a convertible-car-like open roof, allowing you to bask 360-degree panoramic views. The six and a half minute journey of CabriO equals an indulgent ride to paradise, rejoicing the picturesque, green landscapes of Switzerland.

Stanserhorn is the go-to mountain for hikers. If you are a beginner or an occasional hiker, sweat over a 30-minute’s walk around the mountain, and if you are a regular hiker, walk your way right from Stans up to the peak of Stanserhorn – a near 4 hours hike. Mesmerising views of the valley of Engelberg or the cantons of Obwalden are enjoyed during the hike.

Adventure seekers can head to the hangglide and paraglide experiences at Mount Stanserhorn.

After such delightful experience-heavy moments, to feel famished is abound to happen. Worry not, take a seat at a revolving restaurant and enjoy lip-smacking dishes offered at a height. For newly-weds or for the ones who like to spice it up for its loved one, relish a romantic candlelight dinner.
