From Lugano by train: a 7-minute train journey will take you to Melide station, around 200 metres from Swissminiatur park

From Lugano by boat: a 35-minute boat ride will take you to the landing stage in Melide, around 400 metres from Swissminiatur park. By Car: Southerly direction: A2 motorway (Chiasso – Italy) – take the Melide exit and follow signs for Bissone.

Northerly direction: A2 motorway (Chiasso – St Gotthard) – take the Bissone/Campione d’Italia exit and follow signs for Melide.

Coach parking spaces are available in the area adjacent to the park. To ensure everything goes to plan, please contact Swiss Miniatur to make the necessary arrangements.

Switzerland’s largest open-air miniature museum is home to 129 models of Switzerland’s most famous buildings, monuments and means of transport in the unusual 1:25 scale. Swissminiatur park opened in 1959 and visits here are recalled with great fondness by young and old alike.

As you relax for a few moments after your meal, your little ones can have fun in the nearby play area. Grotto “Pinin” offers a choice of sandwiches and snacks (also vegie/vegan), Ice creams and cold drinks.

Located on the shores of Lake Lugano, the park is surrounded by majestic mountains. Relax and unwind, see models of trains, funicular railways, boats and cableways, in a tranquil natural setting.

In the play area, there’s a train that transports people around the park, specially for the kids. And also a water bumper boat ride that all age of children can enjoy.
