Things to do at Glacier 3000
Peak walk by Tissot
The highlight of your trip for sure! This suspension bridge connects 2 peaks and takes you to new heights. The 107 metre long and 80 cm wide bridge will give you a feeling of being one with nature and offer stunning views of the alpine landscape around you. It is free of charge and open year round.
Alpine coaster (In summer)
The waves, jumps, circles and curves of the 1 kilometer long Alpine coaster can be traversed at up to 40 km/hour. Don’t fear the speed since you have the brake control in your hands and can adjust the speed as per your requirement. This coaster is at times up to 6 mteres above the ground so be prepared to have your adrenaline pumping. You require being 130cm in height to sit on the Alpine coaster and children under 9 years can ride tandem with another person of over 9 years of age.
Snow Bus
Ride the snow bus to get a true feel of the glacier area and expanse. The snow bus accommodates up to 20 persons and is a safe way to explore the glacier
Dogsled rides
Huskies are a really friendly and gentle breed of dogs and are totally at home in the snow and cold climate. They pull you along with their infectious barks and ensure that you have a truly unique experience.
Sliding at the Fun Park
If you are not into skiing but do not want to miss out on a snow experience, try your hand at sliding at the Fun Park. If you are confident enough, you can slide down the run for a really fun experience
Glacier Flight
If you want to make the most memorable day of your life at Glacier 3000, then hop on a helicopter ride over the glacier to ensure you get the best views ever. You can even land on the glacier for a romantic meal and make the day even more special.
Glacier 3000 with Swiss Travel Pass
All Swiss Travel Pass holders can avail of the special discounted fares against the pass. Children under the age of 16 years also travel free with the family card if their parents hold a Swiss Travel Pass, included in the Swiss Travel Pass cost.
The discounted rates are valid on all the types of Swiss Pass, i.e. 1st or 2nd class for 3, 4, 8, or 15 days pass.
How to reach Glacier 3000
From Gstaad train station, take a bus which takes you to Col Du Pillon from where you will hop on to the cable car to reach the peak of Glacier 3000.
