About Glacier 3000

Glacier 3000 promises thrill! Over 3000 metres above sea level, Glacier 3000 offers stunning views and a wide range of activities for families and all ages.

Boarding the cable car at Col Du Pillon you cannot help but marvel at the summit station designed by architect Miario Botta even before you reach it.

Once on top you are in for a visual feast of over 24 mountain peaks all over 4000 meters tall and extending as far as the eye can see. The views stretch as far as the Jungfrau, Matterhorn and even the Mont Blanc.

If all the fun activities leave you hungry, just head to the restaurant Botta for some delicious local cuisine that can be enjoyed while looking out at the fascinating panorama.

Don't forget to peep into the souvenir shop to take home something that will always remind you of this special visit.

The highlight of your trip for sure! This suspension bridge connects 2 peaks and takes you to new heights. The 107 metre long and 80 cm wide bridge will give you a feeling of being one with nature and offer stunning views of the alpine landscape around you. It is free of charge and open year round.

The waves, jumps, circles and curves of the 1 kilometer long Alpine coaster can be traversed at up to 40 km/hour. Don't fear the speed since you have the brake control in your hands and can adjust the speed as per your requirement. This coaster is at times up to 6 mteres above the ground so be prepared to have your adrenaline pumping. You require being 130cm in height to sit on the Alpine coaster and children under 9 years can ride tandem with another person of over 9 years of age.

Ride the snow bus to get a true feel of the glacier area and expanse. The snow bus accommodates up to 20 persons and is a safe way to explore the glacier

Things to do

The only suspension bridge in the world that connects two mountain peaks. It offers a stunning view onto the Alps: Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are visible from the bridge and offer grandiose views, far off into the distance.

The highest situated toboggan run in the world opens in summer season. The Alpine Coaster will quickly raise your adrenaline level and you will never forget such high-flying adventure on Glacier 3000. You determine the speed with the brake lever and how many times you want to go down the toboggan run. (CHF 9 per person, children above 9 years of age allowed to ride alone)

Ice Express Chairlift is a 15 minutes ride from Col du Pillon - Scex Rouge. It definitely gives you flying-like feeling and breathtaking views of the glacier. Take this chairlift to reach to the snowpark, snowbus, or glacier walk.

Snowbus is the most pleasant way to discover the glacier area – from the comfort of your own seat. It is ride of a truly different nature for young and old! Booking compulsory.

The fun sliding adventure in Funpark of Glacier 3000. This park at the lower end of the Ice Express chairlift is free of charge. It is for all those who do not ski or for families who want to enjoy the snow.

Hop on a helicopter ride over the glacier to make the most memorable day at Glacier 3000. You can even land on the glacier for a romantic meal and make the day even more special.

The Huskies pull you through the beautiful glacier landscape and allow you to have a very special experience through the unique alpine area of Glacier 3000. Reservation mandatory.

It is a 3km leisurely walk on a secured trail with a wonderful view. The walk begins at the Scex Rouge mountain station. For easier route, take the Ice Express chairlift to the glacier and begin the walk in the snow from there.

At 2’971 metres, the Watch & Souvenir Shop invites Glacier 3000 visitors to take a stroll through the shop, which offers an attractive array of exclusive items.
