As you are planning things to do in Switzerland, you may know that this beautiful country offers far more than snow-capped mountains and mesmerising views of lush greenery.

Reading a plethora of blogs, articles, or vlogs, it indeed becomes overwhelming to choose things to do in Switzerland, as each of the travellers shares their own experiences and recommendation. But worry not. SWISStours team of Swiss experts - who have travelled across Switzerland many times - have compiled a list of 10 things to do in Switzerland.

1. Jungfrau

The most visited mountain of Switzerland - Jungfraujoch - is not only on the top of our list but is also recognised as the Top of Europe. Apart from exhibiting the breathtaking view of Swiss Alps, Jungfrau also offers an Ice Palace, Alpine Sensation, shopping, and outdoor snow activities. This majestic mountain checks all the boxes to get the best Swiss experience, be it if you are with your family, spouse, or travelling solo.

Also, do not forget to claim your discount on Jungfraujoch with Swiss Travel Pass

2. Jetboat

Claimed as the most exciting way to see Lake Brienz, do justice to your adrenaline rush by hopping on the Jetboat ride in Interlaken. The rich history and culture of the surrounding are explained by the captain. A full 360-degree spin and enough time on the water will undoubtedly rank as the most memorable time spent in a Swiss lake. Depending on the type of ride, it may include shuttle, gear, pictures from your ride, fondue, drinks, or a ride to Giessbach Waterfalls

3. Matterhorn

Nestled in the cosy village of Zermatt, Matterhorn draws the attention of every elated traveller around the world. Dubbed as the Toberlone mountain, it is the mountain that inspired the makers of Toberlone to introduce the perfect mountain-shaped delectable chocolates to the world. Many say Matterhorn is the world's most photographed mountain.

So, visit Matterhorn Glacier Paradise to view the majestic mountain up close and enjoy many activities atop. If you are the adventurous type, ditch the cable car and hike your way up to the peak. So, aren't you excited already to visit this majestic and mystical mountain?

4. Titlis

Mount Titlis is another worth experiencing mountain on our list. You ascend on Titlis Rotair- the world's first revolving cable car. It is an experience in itself, giving you a 360-degree view of the captivating surrounding. Once you reached the summit, you can walk on Europe's highest suspension bridge- Titlis Cliff Walk, enjoy hiking, mountain biking, climbing, scootering, and the thrilling Titlis Adventure Park.

Mount Titlis with Swiss Travel Pass too comes at a discounted rate.

5. Grindelwald First

Grindelwald First offers exhilarating adventures, fantastic view of Alps, and at the very top, you can also rest in front of a serene lake- Lake Bachalpsee.

The four adventure activities are First Flyer, First Glider, Mountain Cart, and Trotti Bike. None of the activities is alike.

The sheer fun of experiencing these exciting activities will bring out the child in you. If you love adventures, don't make a gross mistake of scrapping it off from your list.

Spoilers alert! You may keep coming back to Grindelwald first as experiencing it once won't satiate your adventure yearning. Undoubtedly, it will be one of the best things to do in Switzerland.

Benefits of Swiss Travel Pass are applicable on Grindelwald First adventure activities.

6. Harder Kulm

The only way to experience the best view of Interlaken is from Harder Kulm - The Top of Interlaken. At 1,322 meters above sea level, fondly look down upon the Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, or bask in the beauty of the majestically robust Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau. Ascend to the top in 100 years strong funicular. If famished, indulge your palate at a panoramic restaurant, starkly resembling like a medieval castle.

7. Pilatus

In a country that's famous for mountains, how can one possibly miss Pilatus: Mountain of Dragons. As the name suggests, legend had dragons with healing powers inhabit the mountain. Once you reach at the top of the mountain in the world's steepest cogwheel railway, you'll get the answer why a dragon would live there.

Today, Mt. Pilatus offers more than a majestic view, you can also experience many exciting activities at 2,128 meters above sea level.

8. Swiss Transport Museum

Switzerland's most visited museum and the country's largest museum - Swiss Museum of Transport, is an ideal place to experience the glorious history of rail, road, air, and space travel. The DayPass of Swiss Transport Museum includes entry to the museum, interactive experiences, Swiss Chocolate Adventure, Film Theatre, and Planetarium.

Inclusion of the Swiss Museum of Transport in your Switzerland itinerary is a must!

9. Stanerhorn

The eventful trip to the Stanserhorn starting with the century-old funicular is like a journey through history.

The peak unfolds views over 100 kilometers of the Alps and 10 Swiss lakes.

The Murmeli plant protection area with enchanting fauna and flora and culinary highlights like the Älplermagronen in the revolving restaurant Rondorama all add to the charm atop the Stanserhorn.

In spite of the numerable things to discover on Stanserhorn, the most memorable moments of the trip are etched whilst riding in the CabriO - the world's first open double-decker cable car.

This one-of-its-kind cable car is a combination of a mighty, luxurious bus with a convertible-car-like open roof, allowing you to enjoy 360-degree panoramic views.

The six and a half minute journey on the CabriO feels like an indulgent ride to paradise while rejoicing in the picturesque, green landscapes of Switzerland.

An unmissable thing to do in Switzerland in summer, Stanserhorn checks all the boxes when it comes to fun, experience, adventure, nature, romance, and even delicious cuisine. No wonder it is amongst the most loved mountains of Switzerland, frequented by not only the tourists but also the locals.

working on extending the range of Swiss models at the park.

All the models are fully-functional. A cablecar reaches the mountain from its station. A train runs steadily on the tracks. Waterfalls flow at with a thrusting pressure. A plane takes off at the airport. A boat sails smoothly. Despite being mini in size, the experience is real and magnanimous.
